About Jade
The two stones that are primarily categorized as jade are nephrite and jadeite. Objects made of jade have been used in China for a very long time. However, only a very small percentage of this jade was jadeite. In the past, the Chinese used the term 'yu' for jade in general and only occasionally bothered to distinguish between chen yu, which was used for nephrite, and fei-ts'ui, which was used for jadeite. Grade A , B, C , are commonly used by jade dealers to identify the different types of treatment the jade has gone through. This is not refer to the quality or grading of the jade. Grade A Jade - Natural Jade without any treatment.
Grade B Jade - Natural Jade bleached with acid and impregnated with polymer.
Grade C Jade - Natural Jade treated with enhanced color.
